I'm planning to travel to England. I live in South Australia.I have a 04 Toyota Corolla seca assent. (hatch)(auto) It has 129k & is well maintained. If it is left unintendeed for a while what persuasions should i take to protect my jewel from harm? it is housed under a carported roller door way from weather.i have been told many things like EG jack up the four wheels etc, what is the best as in fuel, coverage, battery etc? id love your feed back,as id not want any harm to come to my car i've looked after for so many year of beautiful service. Is there a process once i return home ? TA! MATE!
How long do you reckon it’ll remain unused, mate? Weeks? Months? Years?
hi i'm away for around 3 months but that can be flexible. what would you reckon on storage? my corolla is safe at home & i'm not in to storage at a store place plus it costs heaps per week renting a lot. Cheers!
3 months is nothing . unhook the battery and dont worry about it
@mountainmanjoe. apart from disconnecting the battery would you recommend any other process? will the CPU be O.K.? should i lift the wheels off the ground? or just over inflate them for the 3 months? should i empty the fuel tank? will the fuel go off? etc? the last time my Corolla sat for only a month rats made a wonderful nest in my air box AND chewed up the filter? goodness knows what 3 months will bring? thanks also for the web link.
once again, don't worry about it. Filters are cheap.
