Hi Scotty thanks for the show, its great. My wife has a 2016 toyota land cruiser with 78000 miles. I have noticed a rough shift when driving around 30mph with cruise control activated when driving up and down hills. This is much less noticeable without the cruise control activated. I have found a few other comments online with the same issue. I have read some say it is the heavy transmission, others say there may be a computer reflash. Do you think its ok or should i have it checked out?

How many speeds does it have?

Any codes? Also is it the 8 speed automatic?

This is the 8 speed automatic. The check engine light has never came on so i havent checked for codes.

It might still be covered by warranty

Toyota powertrain warranty is 5 years/60,000 miles, but mileage-wise the OP is beyond that at 78,000 miles.

Well the Aisin 8 speed is a smooth transmission, but I have heard complaints of lazy shift quality

Ok thanks. I believe I am out of warranty. I would agree that it is very smooth depending on driving conditions... a lazy shift quality would describe it well. The biggest complaint comes with downshifting to maintain speed when going downhill in cruise control.
