Hey, I am going to be going on a year long vacation, with my girl freind, around the U.S. and I will be towing a 7x10 travel trailer weighing in at most 3k lbs. Obviously we want comfortabality durability and fuel efficiency. I want to buy an f-250,I want a v-8 because I think manteince will be easier and repairs would be cheaper. I have no clue what liter size to buy, I guess whichever one has less problems, I will be towing mainly under 5k lbs, daily. I do not know if I want to buy private party of from the dealership. I also want to be able to maintain my vehicle myself, and do small repairs. What year is a good year to buy to still be able to do most of your own maintenance and smaller repair jobs? I was also wondering if I should look into a different truck for towing mainly 2-3k lbs, a toyota tacoma/tundra or an f150, any thoughts?
