Corolla sedan vs hatchback value

I am getting ready to buy either a Toyota Corolla SE sedan or hatchback with the cvt. Both seem to be basically the same except the body style.  They are both also right at the same price for me to purchase.  However, I was wanting to know which version would retain its value better. Is there one style that is more desirable over the other in today’s market?

In the US, sedans typically outsell hatchbacks and tend to be more ‘popular’ (for a car).  But I wouldn’t worry so much about that;  just get whichever you like more.  Me personally I like the practicality a hatch offers and would get that for myself.

Also, some people like the looks of hatches over sedans. There will always be a market for hatches.

Both versions would probably retain their value about the same.

The difference in resale value isn't that apparent, I would get which ever one fits your needs/you like.

Thank you. I think I will go with the hatch version.
