My advice - if it ain't broke, don't trade it in.  Just a guess but I'm betting your mom doesn't drive a lot of miles or is particularly hard on her Chevy so it's probably still in pretty good shape so why bother getting a new car.

@roscoe
My Mom's Impala has 85,000 miles on it and it was a rental car

You can have any vehicle you want, as long as it’s a Toyota or a Honda.

Does it have a nice big 8cyl ?

If so it should last a good long while if the body doesn't rust out.

It really depends on where you live and how long the wonderful GM steel holds up..

Hey at least it's got a comfortable ride.

BTW, How old are you?  Are you going to take this thing out and burn up the tires ?

On second thought it might not last to long if you go racing around in it.

Drive safe.. I'm sure it's a pretty good car...

It can be a great car and last an easy 200k miles. But there is a caveat !

It has the 3.6L Cadillac CTS V6 305hp engine, coupled to a 6-speed transmission that had a horrible reputation for shuddering, gear searching, response issues, and more.

But guess what ? In February 2019 GM announced a final fix for that transmissions issues, and the fix can be applied to the transmission of your Chevrolet, and the car and owners can be very happy.

With the transmission issues corrected, it's entirely reasonable to expect in excess of 200,000 miles (or more) of use from the vehicle, provided normal and routine maintenance is performed at the appropriate times.

By the way, did you know the LTZ is a LT model with a strong, tuned heavy duty suspension system that makes handling and cornering very nice. Coupled with the semi-luxurious nature of the model and trim, I'd consider it well-worth keeping.

I really don't want to get into a possible conflict of interest situation, but if you ever want to sell the vehicle, please contact me ?
