I'm thinking about buying an older ford F250 or F350 truck from anywhere between the 1970s and the 1990s and was wondering if anyone here has had experience with them and knew what the best engine/transmission combo would be, looking for reliability and good power. I'm familiar with the 335 series V8s as being pretty good but I'm wondering if I should give the FE V8s or the Windsor V8s a try. Or are the 335 series V8s the best of the bunch?

Well the 335 or the Windsor V8. Those are both great. I personally like the Windsors myself
