I am going to college soon and want a car that's gets good gas mileage and will last me through college. I have been told a Honda Civic and Toyota Prius are good options, but which is better and what year? What is your opinion on the best fuel efficient and reliable car?

Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla. I wouldn't do a Prius for two reasons:
1. Its a Hybrid and I don't want to deal with the battery.
2. You're driving to college. Just take my word on this, it's not a good idea.

For the Prius the 2007-2010 years are the worst years for Prius. From what I know, they had lots of electrical problems especially now being old as well as oil consumption for the hybrids.
