Scotty my sister is looking for a SUV. Going to trade in a 2016 Chevy Equinox with 45k miles and transmission slipping/hesitation issues. She didn’t find a Toyota or Honda she liked. What’s the next best maker to look at?

Mazdas SUV's are also really good and Scotty ranked them 3rd.

I agree with Mazda as being 3rd!

Mazda or Subaru. I mean it’s just going to be more Japanese manufacturers after Toyota and Honda.

Mazda. Or go UP to a Lexus.

The more recent mazdas are better in quality than what they used to be. Beware the old mazdas (2000-2010) if you live in a place with rust, they tend to rust easily.

Subarus are good too, especially with a manual transmission. Their CVTs have a couple problems.

Suzuki, Subaru, Mazda

I wish they still sold Suzuki’s here.

I wish they did too.

I wish Volvo were worth recommending but it is not so reliable anymore.
