Wheel Bearing Assembly: The Good and The Bad?

Topic starter

I’m planning on replacing my rear wheel bearing hub assembly in the next few months. What brands should I look into and what brands should I avoid in terms of quality and longevity?  What brands gave you hell, and what brands were a dream?

Currently I’m looking into the Timken brand, but I am open to others. Especially if anyone might know the OE maker for the Honda Accord 1999.

Moog makes good stuff.

Good to know. I just used their ball joints recently.

Moog used to make good products, these days, not so much.

Timken is a good brand.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I used to buy their idler arms, stabilizer bar links etc. and they were awesome. When did they start slipping?

Recently, like 2-4 years. They used to make long lasting products.

Interesting. Moog is owned by Federal Mogul. But FM was acquired by Tenneco in 2018 (originally Tennessee Gas company)
