When do I change my oil?

Dear Mr. Kilmer,
I recently purchased a brand new Dacia sandero Access Model SCe 75 RE, It currently has 8,000 miles on the clock, its a manual transmission and I bought it from Bristol Street Motors, Exeter, England. The owners manual doesn't specify how often I should change the oil. I have watched your videos and agree oil should be maintained and frequently changed. I looked up oil info on Sandero's online and it says its good for 12,000 miles as its a modern engine ... I just don't trust it, what do you personally think about it?

I thought to message you straight away as you know what your talking about.
Thanks for taking the time to read this
Kind regards, Dan Robins

You want to change the oil every 5,000 miles or one year whichever comes first.

I would go one step further, … if you do mostly short trips and humidity in your area in England is mostly high. I do it very 5,000 miles or six months - whichever comes first. Moisture will rot internals if it’s not driven out by prolonged, frequent longer drives, … that is oil temperature at prolonged 185-190 deg. F. range.

You can never go wrong with changing your oil every 5000 miles.

Every 5000 miles or 8000km at most.
