I'm trying to fix an Old 1964 chevy malibu ss my dad has been letting sit outside with a tarp on it. I was wondering what sites do you recommend to buy old parts whether it be for the inside for the enfine or for the exterior like seats or chrome strips

If you want online, search eBay, Craigslist,...

Check out the junkyards if you can go there in person.

No one place that has everything.  Personally, I'd start with Rockauto due to choices and sheer number of parts carried... again, no end all and some may need to be remade/re-engineered.  And a lot of those chrome pieces can be refinished depending on condition.  Take your time and do it right ;  )  Other body damage... learn sheet metal fab and tig welding and get an English wheel.  All depends on how much you want to put in it.  If you can get it back to oem quality, may be worth upwards of 100k.  Priceless on how you and your Dad would feel when complete (and during the work too).

If you are looking to buy online the best sites are RockAuto, 1A Auto and Car Part Kings.

Start going to "Cars and coffee" and car show events (post pandemic), and talk to people with 60's GM cars - they will know where to get certain parts, and often have parts cars/piles of parts - not to mention knowledge on the engines and electrics on those vehicles.

I'd try and look for chevy malibu groups and chat/talk to some members. They would know where to buy the parts you need for the car model you are working on.

Good luck.
