I just discovered Scotty on YouTube. I immediately spent hours watching. I took your advice on cabin filters. My 2003 Camry filter was scary! So I searched hard in my 1993 Toyota Corolla station wagon AND my 2003 Tacoma for the filters and guess what? I can't find it! .. AND I searched Google and Youtube for a clue ... Nothing!! Your assistance would be very much appreciated. Mahalo! (Thank you) {black}
Aloha and welcome to the community! I believe they didn’t start putting in cabin air filters until around 2000. The 93 Corolla almost definitely doesn’t have one. The Tacoma, maybe. Call a Toyota dealer parts department and they’ll tell you. While you’re at it, might as well just ask about the Corolla. You don’t have to buy it from them of course.
For cars that don’t have a cabin air filter, there are sometimes aftermarket retrofit kits out there, or you can get mini air purifiers that plug into your cigarette lighter.
btw, both of my cars don’t have cabin air filters. 1993 Volvo 960 sedan, and my daily driver is a 2009 Ford Taurus SEL (early 2009, as the later 09s had them. Weird I know.)
Thank you BobTheHatKing for responding!
1st gen Tacomas do not have a cabin filter. Toyota didn’t start putting them in until the first year of the 2nd gen. (2005)
Thank you Boot for your responding.
