Which brand is relatively more reliable among Nissan, Acura, and Kia/Hyundai?

Shopping for a new spacious 3-row SUV for a growing family.

Between a Nissan, Acura, and Kia/Hyundai, how would you rank the reliability?

Any thoughts on their service departments, repair costs, and ease of fixing something under warranty?

3 row SUV? I recommend Toyota Highlander.

Nissan 2022 Pathfinder is using ZF 9AT, so no more CVT. I don't know how the engine and tranny gonna hold up, but at least they got rid of the Jatco.

Kia/ Hyundai, you will see engine recalls very soon.

Acura is best by far.

Nissan has poor quality and Hyundai/Kia are the low bar of the automotive world.

Acura>>>>>> Nissan> Kia/Hyundai

I’ll add that if you are worried about repair costs, just stick to Toyota & Honda products.

Acura all the way.

We are currently not recommending any Hyundai Motor Group products.  If you have been following Scotty for any length of time, then you already know  he is not a fan of them either and has been warning people of them.  If there was a doubt, see below:  also, the 10 year/100,000 mile warranty (only applies to the original owner, btw) is not what it is cracked up to be as more times than not they look for ways to get out of a warranty claim and refer to problems as “Oh, that’s normal”.  Plus, some of the mechanics working on the cars have no idea what they are doing.

Thank you all for your comments, appreciate it!

Highlander would have been my first choice but it just doesn't work for us with respect to cargo space and 3rd row. Nothing on the Lexus lineup either. Hope something new comes up soon.

I test drove both Palisade and Telluride and they are just right in terms of cargo space and 3rd-row seating. Really quiet, has nice handling, and options are great even in base trim. Acceleration/ throttle response is not as good as my 2011 Rav4 - I think that is a good thing for a vehicle this size. MDX and Pathfinder remaining to test.

I saw Acura rated poorly for reliability in some sites - good to know it is better compared to the others.
