I recently found a mobile mechanic willing to come to my home and replace my catalytic converter. The part they want to purchase for me they want damn near 1.7k for it.

I found on rockauto.com a list for a heck of a lot cheaper. Which from the list below for my 2003 honda civic Si would you recommend ? its a 2.0 L 4 -cylinder

Your catalytic convertor is designed to last the lifetime of your vehicle. You may have vacuum leaks, your you could be experiencing a misfire, you could have exhaust manifold leaks, an O2 sensor could be malfunctioning... any number of things could be wrong. You need to do a proper diagnosis. Catalytic converters are almost always the symptom, not the cause. I still have the original catalytic converters in my 1999 Ranger, and it has 291k miles on it. The CEL isn't on, and the CEL works.
