What year Honda engine would be a good switch-out engine for my oil consuming Honda 2010 CRV engine?
Which specific engine does your 2010 CR-V have?
2.4 liter 4 cylinder

The third generation (2006-11) takes the 2.4 liter. I'd stick with that, it's a good engine, and the electronics should cooperate.

The engine that belongs in there. Maybe upgrade the piston rings to something better.
