The Acura dealer recommends a blend but am I better with full synthetic? Thank you!
synthetic oil flows the best. It starts lubricating the top end faster on cold starts.
What does it say in the manual?
The manual states:
Use Acura Genuine 0W-20 Motor Oil,
or a Premium-grade 0W-20 detergent oil with the API Certification Seal on the container
or a synthetic 0W-20 motor oil if it is labeled with the API Certification Seal on the container
I'm going to go with the synthetic 0W-20 - can you recommend a brand?

I usually go with the full synthetic name brand that is on sale: Mobil1, Castrol, Valvoline, Pennzoil, Quaker State.
FWIW, the last box I bought was Mobil1 at Costco. They had a deal.
I saw that deal. And I saw the Costco Kirkland brand synthetic oil right next to it with a lower price. I wouldn't be surprised if they were the exact same oil.

Most people hear "blend" and assume 50/50.
But nowhere does the oil state what percentage is synthetic or conventional.
Could be 5% synthetic for all we know.
