I’m looking at a couple of vehicles but I’m wonder what would be better, a 1999 mercury mountaineer with 103k or a 2002 tundra/sequoia or 4Runner/tacoma with 220k (giving they checkout mechanically)?

With those vehicles all being over 20 years old.. the current condition (established by a mechanic's inspection) and the maintenance history.looking at a couple of vehicles but I’m wonder what would be better

I would say the sequoia all day everyday. Just get a reputable and honest mechanic like scotty do a pre purchase inspection on it

Depends on a few things. Price? Has the sequoia had a timing belt done? Is the mountaineer on the original transmission? I would probably depending on price pick the mountaineer but drive them and see. I have owned both in my life and was happy with both. As long as it checks out and has been taken car of either are probably fine.
