Hey Scotty what should I get for my first car, I got 2 cars in mind, one is 2004-2007 Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS and the 2nd one is Toyota Matrix 2009-2014 XRS so what are your thoughts, and I also live in Canada where snows alot.

The only problem with buying a used Subaru is that they have head gasket problems. They are great in the snow with their AWD systems. If you do look at one get a mechanic to check it out real good. Personally I would look at the Toyota Matrix. Front wheel drive cars go through the snow fine if they have good tires on them. The Toyota Matrix is the more reliable model between the 2 cars.

Subaru would be OK if head gaskets are already fixed (demand proof!) and it has a manual transmission.
