Hi there, I have a 2014 Ford Focus ST, Manual, no codes except catalytic converter (doesn't have one when i bought it.). I started the car one day and it was having a hard time staying idle. I let the car warm up everytime before I drive it. I checked the oil and it was complete full and clean. But it smelt like strong gasoline (97 octane) what should I do. I'm not going to drive it since that means there's not as good lubrication. Whats the best way to check for these kinds of issues. (IT IS A TURBOCHARGED direct injected engine.)

The problem is the gdi. Its too much pressure and causes oil dilution... check this video out... its a Honda but the same idea applies here.
