I'd buy a toy model one and keep the rest in my pocket those things are endless money pitch you buy a used one you are asking for trouble I have never seen anyone buy one and out of anything but trouble buying one in that price range

For under $10K maybe an older Porsche Boxster you can get, but for an older 911 in decent shape - good luck!
Also, the cheapest 911s will be the 996 generation (1999-2005), which has those funky headlight “pattern” most guys don’t like.
