Hey Scotty I’m looking at trying to get a new Heavy Duty truck and stuck between the Silverado 2500 HD custom with a 6.6l gas engine with a 6 speed transmission or the F250 super Duty with the new 7.3l gas and 10 speed. Can I have your opinion on them? Thanks in advance!

@gjolinares23
pick the ford even tho i am a ford fan belive me wenever scotty shows a junkyard it shows chevorlets thing and ford trucks are reliable but on the ford f250 and f350 there is a thing called the death wable you cant cantrol the sterring wheel and the car flips but i think the ford is easily the better option

I’d pick the Ford F-250 out of those two. GM quality has been on the decline and I wouldn’t trust it to hold up over the years.

As Scotty says, Ford has been building pickup trucks for a long time & knows how to build them well.

Having said that, for either, the long term reliability of the new trucks are unproven and only time will tell how long do they actually last.

Ford F-250 steering has lots of problems, breaks down a lot. Transmission doesn't change gears sometimes, in shop a lot.

@jamesedavis
I’ll have to look into that

@jamesedavis
ok but gm olmost evrithing is a problem

I would pick the Ford.

Even though the Ford would be an ok choice, GM actually builds their heavy-duty trucks very well. The 7.3 in the ford has issues with the spark plug wire going bad and the 10-speed transmission has problems as well. The best option would be to get the Chevy with the Diesel.

I have a L5P now, not sure if I just got lucky but thing is a lemon. Going back to good ol’ gas.

@mr-avalanche13
the chevy will last a long''time only 50,000 miles

I'd go Chevy, but I have a terrible history with Ford and their trucks. And I HATE GM. Still, I'd go Chevy on this one.

@mod_man
chevy has the worst relibility but ford trucks are number 5 and 6 with reliability in trucks and chevys whole company is in the top ten worst

@mod_man
Chevy's tend to be cheaper to fix though. Ford really screws their customers on this issue. See DeBoss Garage channel for a funny video on this.
