Neither one.

Both are terrible, low-quality vehicles prone to mechanical and electrical problems.

Avoid both, especially if you intend to hold onto them beyond the warranty period.

Both trucks are the worst trucks you can possibly get. The heavy duty variants are ok.

If you can make it work, ditch the decked out, show-off consumer-grade 1500 Silverados and get a more basic 2500 HD. Scotty's said on more than one occasion that the Heavy Duty GM trucks are far superior to today's 1500 GM trucks. You'll be able to do a whole lot more towing and hauling when you need to. 

If you're into American trucks, you should look at this Toyota Tacoma commercial. You can't get more American than that.

Neither are good, but I'd go with the Ram out of the two.
