please be specific on which used Ford F450 (no matter year) has the most reliable reputation, mainly use it for heavy hauling and towing.

only the f-150 is reliable, not the bigger trucks. if you need to pull heavy any truck can pull heavy. how much do you plan to pull?
Well if you really are pulling fairy heavy stuff long distances the diesels will last longer but as others have said if it's not that heavy a plain old V8 F-150 it's perfectly fine
Stay away from electronic 7.3, 6.0, 6.4 diesels...unless its a toy truck puttin' around local and you like to randomly spend thousands on repairs. The non-electronic original style 7.3 were under powered but reliable.
2011-2016 with 6.7 diesel....has the classic F450 steel cab.
2017-present has the F150 style aluminum cab.
