I have a 2011 Mazda 3i with a 2.0L engine. It has 122k miles on it! It runs good and shifts fine but once it shifts into overdrive and drops below 1500 rpm’s it starts making a whining noise until I give it some gas to get back to 2k rpm’s plus and it stops. Any ideas what my problem could be? I’ve took it to 2 shops already spent about $500 for them to look at it for them to tell me they can’t figure it out! Thanks for your time of reading this
Can you post a recording?
Does it happen at idle? In Park or Neutral?
No just while driving
could be many things. Driveshaft, wheel bearings, transmission etc.
Would be helpful to know what the mechanic tested
It all started after I replaced driver side cv axle he pulled the axle back out hooked up a scan tool and that was it no codes btw
