I have a 2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo, its got 179K miles on it and ive put a ton of money and work into it since i got it. Lately though theres been an extremely high, almost whistle like sound coming from the car. Asked my local mechanic and he threw a shot in the dark guessing it could be the fuel pump making the noise. Its been doing this for about 4 months, im not sure if theres a crack in a line making the sound or what. I would like to figure it out in case its something bad
Also I would like to add. I've replaced the turbo in it once already about 10K miles ago and it was doing it before. I've also replaced the fuel pump in it before that
Does the sound change with rpm? Is there a loss of power?
The sound stays the same at those lower rpms, no loss of power from what I can tell. However it does kind of feel like the turbo spool is a lot louder than I remember (maybe it's because it's new)
