Yes, they make their own CVT.
Toyota, Honda, Subaru, and Hyundai engineer and make their own CVTs. Audi used to as well, but announced in 2014 they’d stop using CVTs in their next generation lineups.
Mazda also makes their own CVTs.
Really? Isn’t that in export markets where Mazda is and not the US?
At least here in North America, Mazda does not offer CVTs on their vehicles. On Mazda’s website all they have listed is Skyactive-Drive (conventional automatic transmission) and Skactive-MT (manual):
