why does it look like tread is ripping off?

is this normal? the DOT is 2020 and they are firestone all seasons thx

I would check to see if you are in that recall mentioned above.

If there's a ripping problem, document it, and take it back to where you bought it. It could be defective manufacturing.  

Here's are two recent recall notices from the NHTSA site, for some 2020 Firestone tires. See if your tires fall under those parameters:

my tires are called 'firestone all season' doesnt look like its included in recall. it doesnt seem its ripping just looks like shaddy


I stopped using Firestone tires in 1984 - same issue THEN!
