'79 Dodge engine stalling

I have a 1979 Dodge W180 with a 360. I recently had problems with it dying after a few blocks and just today it died at the corner when leaving the house. I had to remove the air filter and now it is running great. It is a new air filter (The exact one it calls for) yet it restricts it to much to drive it. What could be causing this?

You need to adjust the carburetor. You maybe running too rich and do not get enough airflow.
