Anyone done any exhaust work on your car? Sounds like an exhaust leak

no i just bought the car a month ago, and was told nothing was wrong with it. even the mechanics i went to didnt say anything about the exhaust.

it could be related to the rattling your reported in your other topic. Fix that first.

Hey fixed the rattling it was a water pump. But it steel has that vroom kind of feel when I accelerate. Could it be an exhaust leak like that person said it is it a muffler issue?

2004 honda accord lx 2.4 120,00 miles automatic. ok so i was wondering if this is normal. so every time i step on the gas and also as im pressing on it when im driving it sounds like a vroom sound, you know like as if i was in park and i revved up my engine, but it sounds like that when i press on the gas(and as im driving). is that normal? i just hope that makes sense. thanks in advance.

Do make a video but if you feel like the engine is revving up vroom vroom that would mean the transmission is slipping

From what you've described, seems like the transmission's slipping.

Ok so when I told the mechanics that I wanted my car inspection and noted I  think my transmission my be bad cause I was feeling it revving when pressing the gas pedal and also it feels like there is a resistance at times they told me they'll check it out. When I got the car back they didn't mention anything about it being bad. they told me everything tat needed work but no transmission was brought up. But I hear that 2004 Honda accords are known for these issues. So my question would be if they are known for them being bad and I changed the transmission will it continue to go bad since they are known for this or will a new one take away the problem? 2004 Honda Accord lx 2.4 cylinder 120 thousand miles Automatic

If you want to spend the money to actually rebuild one correctly it'll cost you three to four grand
