Hi I have a 2008 Chevy Impala SS with 76,277 miles on it and a automatic transmission. The problem is the cooler fan fuses keep blowing and I was wondering what steps I could take to solve this problem myself.
Thank You in advance

do the fuses have the correct rating according to the fuse box lid or owner's manual?
if yes, then the fans are failing or something is impeding them
It’s simple: … electric motors are most stupid machines, they just draw a sufficient current to do the job. Nothing else matter. If more power suddenly is needed, current draw increases as a result.
Your cooler motor is normally rated to provide certain amount of power - continuously. Daw specific amount of current. All is cool if all is in working order. But, … if there is a problem and more power is required (like in motor bearings are failing, or brushes on commutator are worn, or someone replaced a fan with bigger, wider blades), the motor just draws more current. More amps! Amps flowing exceeds the rating of the fuse, … she blows as per her design. Thats how it all works.
Anyway, … most likely your fan motor is ailing, … or maybe the fan is binding against a shroud, … or your cooler core is plugged and the fan is overloading the motor as a result having to work harder. Or maybe, … just maybe, there is a plastic bag wrapped around the fan? I would check all that first.
