Good day,
Thought I would change things up and ask a boat question! I have a 1990 Reinell boat that has a GMC 350 motor. I recently had a crank no start issue and replaced the ignition coil. This seemed to fix the problem, the motor ran perfectly for about ten minutes. But then it started running roughly and eventually shut down. I noticed the new ignition coil I had just purchased had already failed and was super hot to the touch. Any ideas I'm not going to buy another ignition coil just to blow it up!

Check the voltage going into the coil.
