1995 Mercury Grand Marquis,157300 miles,automatic transmission.
I mean it's probably due to the age, poor maintenance from previous, or current owner (no disrespect). It could also just burn oil due to it being poorly made.
How much oil does it burn? A quart 1000 miles? More?
Regardless unless it's leaking and burning, giving the illusion that it's burning oil, it's something you may just have to live with or rebuild it.
I think it burns a quart of oil every 500 miles.I have no record history os the previous owner.I do my own oil changes.I have been using Supertec full synthetic high mileage for a long time now.I bough the car because it was said it was a very reliable car and I love its comfortable seats.Maybe those years had bad engines because the ones people on the internet recommended are 1998 and newer.Thank you for reply,I apprecciate the time you took to answer my question.
It does not leak any oil,it used to leak when I bought the car 4 years ago from the oil filter housing I think it is called, but I paid someone to fix that.
