Why won't my chevy Colorado 2007 5 cylinder automatic with 250,000miles start...it turns over but wont start .I have had to get a new key for the ignition which left the anti theft security light on. I have checked iv checked to make sure it's getting fuel and spark .it is..how do i check the distributor or what could be then problem. .could it be because the anti theft light?

This is probably your problem. Does your key have a transponder? (It's a little 4-sided engraving on the top of the key) It needs to be programmed to start the car. You need to have a locksmith who works on vehicles in order to program it. It's not a DIY job.

of course. It thinks its stolen so fuel has been disabled
