2004 corolla manual trans.(89,000km) the car has a wobbly unstable gearstick that sometimes unfamiliar drivers have difficulty read: unable to slot in 3rd gear or other gears. I asked a online person and said the bushings in the shifting

Is this the way to fix it? any more to add? about to hire a shop mechanic to do it..

Yeah, those stupid plastic bushings wear out all the time. Pray it's there because if it's not the bushings you'd have to replace the cables and they cost a fortune
