Should I buy a Civic or Hyundai Elantra

Hi scotty love your youtube channel. You give great car advice and now i have a question. I currently have a 2001 honda civic lx sedan with a manual transmission with 131k miles. I was thinking of upgrading to something newer. Im thinking of getting a 2013 honda civic si coupe or a 2013 elantra gt. Both of them also are manual transmission. And are about the same price of 9k at a dealership. Which would be the better buy?

That's easy. The Civic.

Get the Civic, but have a mechanic heck it out since people beat the heck out of si ones.

Civics are better than Elantras. Hyundai's quality has been going down for many years.

Go with the Honda Civic Si.  As always be sure to have an independent, honest mechanic like a Scotty thoroughly check it out and give the OK before you buy.  You want to make sure you don’t get one that’s had a harsh life (they can get thrashed by previous owners).
