Hello guys, how are you doing? My name is Rafael and i from Brazil.
I have a question, not specifically about a car but, it's about the automotive sector, which we like so much.
My job in the Brazil is the, i don't now how to say in the America, but is like automotive ispection. Consists of identifying points of a vehicle to find out if they are in accordance with the law, such as: license plate, engine number, vin and vis, etc. Also, it is part, we look at structure and painting.
Here, we have two types of inspection: Inspection mandatory, when a customer buys a car, this car needs to be transferred, so the engine number, vin, vis, document, license plate and mandatory equipment are looked at. There, the survey is done. We call here, this type of inspection as "Transfer inspection".
And, we have the other inspection, which is not mandatory, is carried out by companies in the private vehicle purchase and sale market. We call it "Cautionary Inspection", it would be something like "caution".
I still study English and as far as I can, I study the automotive market following you from the United States, through videos on YouTube and texts on Google.
I am still a beginner in the market, but I want to set up a company in Brazil in the future of this business. And, I had only one experience here in Brazil, in a company called "InstaCarro", however I have 3 courses in the area. But, it is difficult to get a job in Brazil, after the coronavirus pandemic, I was even fired for this reason.
Me, I would like to go to the United States if I had the opportunity, to study about the area and work in the position. But, I couldn't find on Google, much information about this function, whether it exists there or not.
Does this type of work exist in the United States? Could you give me a list of companies that have this type of business? As for courses, there are qualification courses in this area, could you pass me schools too if they exist?
Do you think a company in the United States would hire a Brazilian who is already in the area to work there? Is there this type of hiring? If so, what would be the requirements?
I found some companies that operate in the buying and selling sector and that I already follow, but, I don't know if they are in this type of business, they are: Carvana, CarMax, Progressive Insurance and GEICO.
If you want to talk to me, this is my Instagram contact: @ r.rlima.
Thank you guys!

Structure and painting of inspections are done my mechanics, i.e. Inspecting isn't their only job function (aways a few exceptions but not a lot comparatively). Police will take care of identifing the plates for you if you don't pay the annual tax. Vin etc, no requirement to be checked by anyone other than the 2 parties.
But I understand your desires and don't stop on my comments, find a fit. I'd get a mech job and get ASE cert, that's a common way to begin and succeed re: car info/repair/knowledge. Many votech schools to teach this exist.
