- Hello Scotty, does bad rear suspension affects steering? I got 2010 civic planning to change my rear shocks to KYB from cheap yellow-colloured shocks I have uneven right height. Thank you

all shocks will have an effect on overall handling

I am no mechanic.
I am fairly certain that any suspension or shock issues will indeed have a direct impact on the quality of a vehicle's handling. I personally have an '06 DaNgEr RaNgEr that has worn front ball joints and it definitely goes crazy over big bumps and pop holes at speed. I have to really focus on keeping control of the vehicle.
After changing the shocks you should see immediate improvement in steering control.
