I have my eye on a 2009 GMC Sierra truck. It’s a HYBRID. I am really struggling to find ANY info online on these anywhere.... it has 150,000 miles and recently had the whole engine replaced for 7,000 bucks.
1. if the hybrid battery goes our on this truck, will it be a money pit?
2. If the Hybrid part goes out, does it just function then as a “regular truck”?
3. Why did they stop making these?
4. living in the cold north, does that make this truck an even worse idea for a daily driver ?
NO. Get a regular truck. There’s a reason why the stopped making them lol
No.... I would not waste my money... they only save you a couple of mpgs and I think it's only a mild hybrid... get a newer model it will run 4 cylinder mode to save fuel and you can even tune it to run in v4 longer than stock
Run far far away from that. An 11 year old GM hybrid is a ticking time bomb.
