My mechanic is charging me 900$ for replacing 3 engine mounts and the valve that mixes air and fuel. He is attempting to fix the vibration coming from the engine, happens only in idle.
Is he ripping me off ? Half of the 900 is for labor and I guess 3 mounts is intensive work, especially the transmission one. Toyota Scion 2006.

You mean the throttle body? Is he using all OEM new parts? If so then with labor, it is kind of high but depends on the shops rate.

No idea if original parts. He said he will order them.
Each mount is 100$. The valve about a 100$. The rest labor. I've heard the transmission side mount is tricky labor on this car.
He will not start before the parts arrive. So I can take a look at them.
