I remember in the video long ago where Scotty is reviewing a late model GMC Sierra possibly a 1500 and saying that the GMC hold up better than Chevy Silverado and saying his customers are happy with the GMC's rather than Chevy's. I'm skeptical despite Chevy and GMC are both GM with similar powertrain and parts made in same assembly line. Maybe they tuned better on the GMC to make it more reliable I guess lol or does it has to do with how well is treated with maintenance? I've never owned those trucks so I don't know what is it like.

functionally they are the exact same. They come off the exact same assembly lines. One just has different options/emblems/trim.
