Hello Scottie. I have a question about a dilemma I am facing. I have a 2013 Kia forte with a 2.0 liter engine. I need a new power steering pump and alternator for my car. My car has about 155,000 miles on it. My mechanic quoted me 1,100 to do the job with Remi parts. The power steering pump is new and the alternator Remanufacured. Do you know these parts are quality or not. Most other mechanics have just been giving me lower quotes using autozone parts. I know they mostly use duralast and there is that lifetime warrenty. If the remi parts are quality is it worth puting in my car you think for a couple extra hundred bucks or should I just use the basic autozone parts. I plan on getting new car next year so Im like is it worth spending on quality. Just curious your thoughts.
Thank you
Have you getting a new car next year? Go with the cheaper parts
Ok. But do you know if Remy parts are quality or not. Are you familiar with them.
I used a Remy alternator on my 2005 toyota matrix, I installed it a couple of weeks ago. It was brand new with a 2 year warranty, and it is a really quick job on my car. I could not get a new denso, or I would have went with that, I prefer new.
So far it is doing fine, and I did a lot of research before buying it, time will tell.
Oddly I don't see any new alternators for your car on rock auto, but amazon seems to possibly have a Denso alternator brand new for you. I would check to see if you can get that. Although it is not as easy as my car, yours is not that horrible, I would try and do it yourself if you can. There are good youtube videos showing exactly how to do it.
Not sure on the power steering pump.
If you are selling it pretty soon, your call.
