- what do you think of 2017 Buick lacrosse and 2019 regal sportback gs? Haven't been able to find any up to date reviews on these cars. Are they a good used buy?
Realize the later made ones are all made in China. Buick used to be a really good car decades ago but like all GM products qualities and what it used to be I wouldn't buy one
Scotty, that is incorrect. The 2017-2019 Buick Lacrosse is assembled in Detroit, MI. Meanwhile, the 2018-2020 Buick Regal Sportback GS is assembled at the GM-Opel Russelsheim factory by GM Europe for the North American market.

The 2017-2019 Buick LaCrosse and 2018-2020 Buick Regal Sportback GS 3.6L V6 has cylinder deactivation in that engine, and long term can potentially wear out/damage the engine. Due to poor GM quality in general, some of those cylinder deactivation systems can still malfunction even if disabled (can only be disabled via aftermarket only). The GM-designed 9-speed automatic in the Regal GS has had issues in other GM products and that transmission should be considered a deal breaker for any GM product. Aside from that, expect random electrical issues as it ages. If this is a car you need for the long haul, I would look at other vehicles.
