Z-95 suspension

Scotty

i have a 2009 Chevy Avalanche with 120,000 miles and the Z-95 suspension option. The shocks and struts are those electric/magnetic kind and the OEM replacements are only available fro GM and they are very expensive. I tow a trailer and I want to keep the auto-leveling rear shocks. Are there any reasonable priced options to replace my shocks and struts?

In short, no. Unfortunately that is one of the downfalls of buying a vehicle with a fancy suspension: the parts are typically proprietary and they will take you to the cleaners when it comes time to replace them.

If you want to keep the auto-leveling, you'll have to fork out the cash on the OEM stuff. Do NOT try cheaper parts. Buy once, cry once.

Was afraid of that, thanks. Maybe I’ll have to give up on the auto leveling and just go with air shocks because the OEM parts aren’t worth the price for a 11 year old vehicle. Arnott has something I may look at
