What do you think about the Zurich ZR-Pro? Is it worth the money? At Harbor Freight for $1,200.00
I would be very hesitant to plunk down $1200 on anything at Harbor Freight. Harbor Freight's electronic items and power tools carry only a 90-day warranty. Typically what Harbor Freight does at point of sale is to heavily "recommend" an extended warranty that likely costs about the wholesale cost of the item. So you're pre-paying them for a replacement. Money in their pocket if you don't need one, costs them nothing if you do. Heads they win, tails you lose. Also support and repair parts tend to be nonexistent for Harbor Freight products.
The Innova scanners that Scotty has used in his videos looks like a better bet, and they carry a 1-year warranty.
Never used it so couldn't say.. it do be from harbor freight though? Lol. I would rather go for an Autel scanner tbh haha
If you are going to spend that much money, you are better getting the Autel Maxisys MS906BT ($1,250 at authorized Autel dealers) that both Scotty and The Car Wizard already use.
I talk about it here:
However, let’s try to save you some money. What do you need exactly out of the tool? You may look at the $200-$600 Innova scan tools (esp. if you need bi-directional control) that Scotty also uses and raves about, or you can also get the $400 Autel MX808 (also performs services, but doesn’t have bi-directional control) - that’s the one I have.
