| Thanks to all. She loves the fusion. It's pretty much a commuter car. My mom hates long distance driving. She has kept up with maintenance doing an oil change/ servicing every 6 months. | |||||

| If the fusion engine is a Duratec 2.0 inline 4 cylinder, I would keep it. If it is any EcoBoost engine, I would consider looking into a Honda or Toyota. | |||||

| She will have to buy another car, they don't make Ford fusions anymore, you only buy them used, now. I would pass, personally. Those tiny turbocharged engines wear out prematurely, unless you get one non-turbo with ordinary fuel injection. Only if she's the type who buys and sells cars frequently, and doesn't drive the stink out of them, it may be decent. | |||||

| All else being equal the Honda would be the better choice but it needs to be inspected by a good mechanic to determine its actual condition. The fusion with 4-cylinder normally aspirated engine is not terrible but is prone to problems with electric power steering and transmission is not the greatest ($$$$). (Check the carcomplaints.com links.) | |||||

| I would go with the Accord. If you are going fusion, at least it is not the V6, potential water pump issues causing catastrophic failure. | |||||

| You failed to provide details such as engines and transmissions. That can make a difference and of course a lot can happen to a car in 12 years. You need a good mechanic to do a thorough inspection of any used car before purchase. | |||||

| Hello I have a 2012 Ford fusion S 2.5L automatic with 185k miles. It's not pulling no codes. When you turn on AC it is blowing but it's not cold air at all. I had a friend check and see if it it needed Freon and He said it had very high pressure on the tube you put it on and the compressor would kick on but even after he tried taking the Freon out he could only put very little in before pressure would be to high. So I'm stuck at the moment on what to do any ideas would be great thank you in advance | |||||

| I had a 2013 Ford fusion before I upgraded to a 2017 V6 Mustang that was brand new, and a year old. It was cool. The 1.6L engine left much to be desired, though. I don't think Ford ever had the crappy 10-speed that they made their F-150s with, they had transmissions designed by ZF. It's an okay car, but they don't make them anymore. So you will have to resort to buying one 2nd hand. Make sure a mechanic checks it out. Stay away from the Chrysler 200. It's a rebadged Fiat. As Scotty says, they're now owned by Renault and Stellantis is the new name. They' ... | |||||

| Hi. I have a 2017 Ford fusion SE 1.5 L ecoboost. My transmission has no dipstick, and so it is a PITA to check the fluid level. I went on Ebay, and I found a transmission fluid dipstick for sale. The website says that it will fit my car, but it also says that the dipstick is for a 6F55 transmission. My transmission is a 6F35. I was just wondering if I could replace the filler plug in my car with this dipstick so I can check the fluid easily??? | |||||

| 2018 Ford fusion 2.5L 131371 miles - the code is P1464. Idles a little rough with the AC on. AC works fine. When the AC is off there is no problem with the idle. It runs smoothly. How do I get it to run smoothly with the AC on? | |||||
