| ... drop at startup not lower than 10,44 V (10,14 V when not fully charged). When cold, the car usually cranks and starts at first attempt - even in extreme cold conditions. However the car has some issues with hot starts. This problem has been on my to-do-list for years, but now I kind of solved the more important ones and am intending to fix this one: when hot, the car often refuses to start at first attempt - it cranks for a fraction of a second, but then stops cranking and does not start. It is not a huge problem - rather an inconvinience, since the seco ... | |||||

| Hey Scotty or anyone else who sees this! I’m 15 years old and turning 16 in march and I’ve been doing research on cars! I’ve recently came across your channel and I love it keep up the videos! I have a few cars that I want to ask if they are worth the money for being my first car and by the way these are all under 6,000 dollars! The first one is the Ford Focus I’ve found models ranging from 2014-2012 all within my budget. They all have 115,000 miles or less and as a bonus the 2014 model ONLY HAS 80,000 miles for 6,000 dollars! The second car is the Honda Civ ... | |||||

I've decided to take on the 2001 Suburban first, because it is in a worst shape (visually speaking). My plans for the Suburban is to use it over the weekends for small trips to sporting events, because the interior space will be great to carry all the equipments. The truck has been sitting outside for a couple of years, and have not been driven for the last 6 months. Interior and paint took ... | |||||

| Hey everyone, I have a couple issues with my first car but I don't know where to start. Before going into too much detail, first a little about myself. I am 16 and I am crazy about cars. I've been doing an internship at a car garage for 2 years now but I by no means are a true mechanic. Anyways, a couple weeks ago I purchased my first car, a 190K miles 2004 Acura TSX with an automatic transmission. The only real problem with it was the steering pump was leaking (which turns out to be common for those cars), the battery was leaking, and it was idling rough ... | |||||

| ... here is the key: have a mechanic check it out pre-purchase and make sure it is in great mechanical condition, you never know what you will find. Check this site for common problems: Other good first cars include 2004-2008 Toyota Corolla, 2011-2013 Toyota Corolla, 2003-2006 Toyota Camry, 2009-2011 Honda Civic, 2007 Toyota Highlander, 2009-2012 Toyota Rav4, 2009 Honda CR-V, 2007-2008 Honda Pilot. You said 9 grand so if you could find a 2015-2016 Toyota Corolla, 2013-2015 Honda Civic, or 2012-2017 Toyota Camry in that price range, those would also be exc ... | |||||

| The 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS is a great car. It has the Corvette LT 350 V8 engine and is a slighly milder example of the RPO code 9C1 - police cruiser. If you're ok with a car that old, Impalas had respectable dependability for that era. But it's a lot of car to be your first if you're not ready for the expense of a full size ride that's 27 years old. There are parts on every car that fail over time regardless of miles driven besides normal wear & tear. I would expect it to at best get 18 mpg on the highway and less in town. On the plus side the pro ... | |||||

| Hello Scotty, I'm looking for a used first car that's safe, reliable, comfortable, cheap maintenance good on gas. I've been looking at the Toyota Avalon, Subaru Legacy, Mazda3, Mazda6, Nissan Altima, Honda Accord, Acura TL/TLX/RL/RLX, Buick LaCrosse, Infiniti M35, Volkswagen Passat/Jetta, and Genesis G80. Is Genesis the same crap as Hyundais and Kias? How much mileage should I get the car with? I would also like the car to have a nice suite of tech, luxury, and safety features like Apple carPlay and Android. Auto, heated and cooled seats, and things like Aut ... | |||||

| I’m looking to buy my first car and one that’s caught my eye is a 2010 Toyota Avalon with 180k miles on it. It’s automatic transmission and has had 2 previous owners. The interior leather in in like brand new condition and seems to be very well taken care of. I talked to the seller otp, he’s an older fellow and he says he comes from a mechanic family that knows how to take care of their cars very well. He’s put a little over 100k miles himself after buying it from the 1st owner. He says he’s been able to take the car from WA to AZ recently and also has said ... | |||||

| ... is the new norm in this market and is considered a reasonable price for a Toyota or Honda. and the key to buying at msrp is being able to wait for an incoming unit instead of buying from an on the lot unit. If you plan on keeping the car for a long time then msrp is a fair price and it won't make a huge difference in the long run. For hybrid first Toyota and then Honda. Just remember with hybrid there will be longer wait times. Also with hybrid there is more to brake down and then there is battery replacement at some point. So see if you need a hybrid or n ... | |||||

| Hello, for my first car I want either a Mazda3 manual or a Dodge Charger 8-speed V6 both 2020. I heard Scotty talk about how Mazda's auto transmissions are bad but I figured manuals are easier to swap or fix? Also seen in his videos he is not too fond about Dodge/Chrysler/Fiat cars but said that the V6 8-speed Zf was okay. Just wanted more input from people more familiar about cars than me. I want a sporty/daily car and plan to have it until it can run no more. I wanted a muscle car but also desired for a four-door. I wanted the Mazda for awhile but ... | |||||

| ... at the time. Reliability wise, CVTs are known for being weak, but the AISIN 6 speed automatic is particularly weak on Ford V6 sedans like the Fusion and Five Hundred. If a mechanic says the transmission is in good shape, and the car was maintained, it could be a decent car. If you the most reliable car you can find for that price range, I'd get a late 90s early 2000s Toyota Camry. But for a few years, it could be a good first car because of its safety and decent reliability. Don't expect much though from a $2500 Ford. | |||||

| Scotty, I am 15 and planning on buying my first car, I am wanting a midsize luxury sports sedan. Do you have any recommendations on a used car? I want something the size of a BMW 3 or 5 series or Camry to Avalon. I am not buying the car now so the price will change. What I have found so far is the Lexus GS 2017 and the BMW 540i 2017 or 2018. I prefer the 540i over the 340i. I know you don’t like BMW but this uses the same B58 engine that is in the 2020 Supra with the single turbo it also shares the zf 8 speed auto transmission. Would the BMW be reliable or ... | |||||
