  • I’m looking to buy my first car and one that’s caught my eye is a 2010 Toyota Avalon with 180k miles on it. It’s automatic transmission and has had 2 previous owners. The interior leather in in like brand new condition and seems to be very well taken care of. I talked to the seller otp, he’s an older fellow and he says he comes from a mechanic family that knows how to take care of their cars very well. He’s put a little over 100k miles himself after buying it from the 1st owner. He says he’s been able to take the car from WA to AZ recently and also has said that if i drive the car there’s no way i’d leave without buying it.

He is selling the car for firmly 6k and is located 2 hours away from me. I was wondering if it would be a idea to take a look at and/or buy it. Please let me know what you think.

Well I'll tell you there's no way I'd pay that kind of money for a car that has almost $200,000 mi on it. That's just silly. Especially when it's far away. I'd look somewhere else if I were you. You've never owned a car before you buy a high mileage car like that. You may not buy a car again that when you have to fix all the things that will go wrong
