| Answer to: Should I Buy a 2021 Ford Edge? | 15Relevance | 3 months ago | fishingandcarsenthusiast123 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| From someone who owns a 22 Edge with similar miles, don’t. Unless you enjoy spending time and money at the mechanic or having to hope you’re lucky if you can drive more than a couple thousand miles without a major component breaking. | |||||

| That model is only available with Ford's "EcoBoost" turbocharged engines which overall have a reputation for poor reliability and longevity, and they cost a fortune to repair. In the U.S. that model has recalls for engines intake valves breaking, seat belt pretensioners not working, and failing rear axles. (Ford holds the crown for being the recall king.) Canadian-built Fords may have been OK decades ago but I would not count on that being the case today. | |||||

| Hi Scotty, I am looking to buy a 2021 Ford Edge with 52,000 miles from a dealership selling it for $20,000. I know you really don't recommend Ford, but was put together in Canada. Does that matter since Canadians build car pretty good | |||||
| Rough Idle After Filling up my 2022 Edge with Gas | 15Relevance | 1 year ago | fishingandcarsenthusiast123 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hi all, after filling up my 2022 Ford Edge powered by a 2.0 Ecoboost with 34,000 miles on the odometer the car was idling extremely rough, it felt like it wanted to stall. As soon as I accelerated it felt fine. No check engine light is on. I was thinking low pressure fuel pump. However, I don't think that's it because the symptoms only occur at idle. What could it be? | |||||

| @mountainmanjoe I'm tolerating differing opinions just fine. I stated my opinion at the beginning (the second comment on this answer). I think you're not tolerating it well since you started all this back and forth arguing saying I'm not comprehending your comments and unnecessarily questioning me on things you clearly should know if your responding on this post. You're calling me out for my opinions, and that I don't appreciate. Don't take my opinion personally, I was just giving an elaborate explanation on the downsides of flushing, and allow the original poster of this question to make their decision based on our combined opinions. I do apologize if I sounded rude in my comments. We have different experiences with this topic, and I believe it's great to share both sides. | |||||

| I have a 2013 Ford Edge Limited with 3.5l V6 that cranks but wont start sometimes but not all the time. If I push the gas pedal it will start a little slow, then it runs fine. It will run a little jumpy sometimes especially at slow speeds. Do you have any ideas as to what would cause this? | |||||

| I would change the belts (if it has a timing belt). I would also change the coolant as well. Other than that those are well built cars. I have a 2022 Edge and I love mine. | |||||

| Brake rotors with ridge on edge 2009 E350 Mercedes | 15Relevance | 2 years ago | doguser3@askdaniel.net | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hi, Can I just replace the pads on a 2009 E350 Mercedes front brakes? The rotors look pretty good but have a ridge on the top outer Edge. Will the new pads just fit inside that ridge or wear to it quickly or should I grind it off or get new rotors? Car stops well now with not pulsing. Has about 130K on it. Also if it just can take brake pads I would use the one Scotty recommends but when rotors are also needed seems that many companies make a set of pad and rotors at a good price but what brands to people recommend in a mid budget level? Not the cheapest bu ... | |||||
| Ford edge 2013 sputtering issues | 15Relevance | 2 years ago | bangel2692 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I just bought a ford Edge sport 3.7 l 2013 fwd A week ago. It has 108,000 miles, in immaculate condition on the inside of the car , maintenance records seem like they took pretty good care of it.. unsure if any tranny flushes have been done, though. Anyways, it has a sputter in between gears I believe. It has already shifted into gear, and it doesn’t seem like it has hard time shifting into the gears, but it has these sputters in between those gears pretty much right after switching into another gear. It also has erratic rpms during the stuttering. It is l ... | |||||
| 2013 Ford Edge SEL - Buzzing question | 15Relevance | 2 years ago | Fixor-repairdaily | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| As it has been frigid where I live, my Edge for the last three days has been making a buzzing or grinding noise (sounds like a vacuum cleaner) when I crank it up cold. The noise seems to come from the transmission. Especially if I turn the steering wheel left or right. Once the vehicle warms up, the buzzing/grinding noise stops. | |||||
