| 2014 ford fusion I was driving a 2014 ford fusion. The check engine light started flashing and as I pulled over I heard a clunk and the car lost power and wouldn't restart. I had it towed home and the codes that came up were P0012, P0300, P0303, P0340, and P0344. The two driver told me that at was probably the timing belt or chain. Any help would be appreciated. | |||||

| The 2018 year had transmission problems for the Camry look for a 2017 or 2019 and for the fusion only get the 2.5 engine the ecoboost ones are not that good. Go used Camry over fusion though. | |||||

| One thing I think is interesting is the recent Camrys have had a lot more problems than the fusions according to CarComplaints. Including 6 Recalls on the Camry vs 1 on the fusion (Camrys mass recalled for Fuel pump, Fuel lines, minorly recalled for Pistons, Brakes) (Fusion recalled for Steering bolt getting loose) Added to the reports of major electrical problems and transmission issues, It seems to not necessarily be an easy decision to dismiss it as reliable because of the past record. | |||||

| Too many problems. Here is a glimpse: Also, stay away from the forced induction GDI engines (I.e. Ford’s Ecoboost engines) if you care about long term reliability and durability. The Ford fusion will never last as long as the Toyota or Honda if you plan on keeping the car for a very long time. | |||||

| The Ford fusion has less Horsepower than the Civic, but the gas mileage is about the same, and they have the same capacity. I would say go for the fusion, Scotty has said in the past that they are good cars too. | |||||

| Hey, what do you think of a 2013 Ford fusion with all wheel drive also how much should i spend on one? Ive bought two cars since I've turned 17 I'm 23 now, both only lasted me a week due to me being young and inexperienced. So I need help! I have saved up about 10grand for a vehicle this time last time I only spent about 2 grand on a 2002 Mitsubishi lancer from a horrible dealer. This time I've been looking for a AWD car or SUV because I live in Canada so plenty of snow and bad weather. I've been looking at a 2013 Ford fusion that also has awd but not sure i ... | |||||

| ... me on that if my memory is mistaken). However, newer generation Ford fusions used a Ford branded hybrid transmission. It’s hard to say whether it was just a rebrand of an Aisin transmission, or Ford manufacturing the Aisin transmission themselves. Or Ford making their own transmission based on the Toyota patents. Teardowns reveal the Ford and Aisin to be extremely similar in design. While Toyota held the patents, they reached an agreement with Ford for its use it in some form. As far as battery technology, I’m not so sure who Ford used. As far as overa ... | |||||
| Why don't mechanics like remanufactured steering racks? | 14Relevance | 2 years ago | izaak | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| ... have a guarantee with their steering racks. It almost sounds like Ford or Lincoln won't program any steering racks but their own or there have been too many bad experiences?! I am a little frustrated because there is such a BIG price difference as I will share below. My car only has a little over 107K miles on it, I keep it well-maintained, and there were no warning signs that the steering was going to go. I've owned many other lower-end luxury cars over the years and have never had to replace a steering rack or anything that expensive at this mileage. Acco ... | |||||
| Answer to: Volkswagen vs ford | 14Relevance | 3 years ago | Justin Shepherd | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Relatively few people know how to work on Volkswagens, so they will command higher prices for everything. They also tend to have computer problems as they age. The Ford fusion was a cross between Volvo and Ford, hence the name, fusion. It was fairly well built for that time. Not as good as Toyota or Honda, obviously. I would get rid of the Volkswagen, but both cars are probably near the end of their useful lives. | |||||
