| It could be your HVAC electronics, bad electrical connection, low refrigerant, or a mechanical issue. Is the compressor engaging? For starters, the system pressures should be checked. | |||||

| Honda HRV is very similar. May be lower priced than a Toyota. Look for a 2019 or newer (transmission upgrade and better seat cushions). They're pokey, but you don't have a turbo to break. Better gas mileage. | |||||

| If the Toyota is more money than you are willing to spend, you may also look at the Mazda CX-3 or CX-30 (just avoid cylinder deactivation on their 2.5L naturally aspirated engines). Those don’t have CVTs, but rather a regular automatic transmission (which is better than a CVT). | |||||

| Try replacing the heater blower resistor (after checking the fuses) first and then a new blower motor. Check to see if you're getting current to the resistor and fan motor. | |||||

| On top of my list to never even think about buying one. If you want a mid size SUV go for a RAV4 or CR-V which have proven their quality. Or if smaller then something like the Honda hr-v. | |||||

| Check the alternator output when idling, should be reading about 14.5 volts at the battery. Have the battery load tested. The first cold days of the year kill a lot of batteries. | |||||

| Have your alternator tested because you said you heard a disturbing click sound. I don't think you may be having battery problems necessarily. | |||||
